We will also evaluate \u2018independent\u2019 proposals as well as topics that may be \u2018cross-topics\u2019.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Automotive<\/strong>: autonomous vehicles, the connected vehicle, open innovation and collaboration structures between different players (e.g. car manufacturers, technology developers and suppliers), digital twins, issues related to the development and use of automotive technology (e.g.: protection of personal data and privacy-by-design; information security, cyber-attack, liability sharing, etc.).<\/li>\n<li><strong>Alternative Foods<\/strong> (e.g.: alternative meat, non-dairy milk, artificial honey): Industry overview and market trends, old and new food industry relationships (including cell-lines establishment and IP protection, plant-breeders rights, etc.), evolving IP disputes, regulatory approvals for alternative foods, labeling and branding; consumer rights; product liability, etc.<\/li>\n<li><strong>AI and Machine Learning<\/strong>: IP protection schemes, inventorship and creativity issues; the influence of AI based systems on the way we grow, manage and license IP; patentability challenges based on obviousness and undue experimentation; uses of copyrighted and\/or proprietary content for machine learning (e.g.: Chat GPT) and copyright infringement issues; data protection; etc.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Electronics, Semiconductors and Software<\/strong>: the interface between hardware and software based technology, SEP, fair use, etc.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Pharma and Biotech<\/strong>: Biologic drugs, including the scope of antibody patent claims; CRISPR; the COVID-19 vaccine patent battle; holistic trademark protection for drugs in the metaverse; competition\/anti-trust regulation; parallel import of drugs, etc.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Academia- Industry relationship<\/strong>: Business models for academia \u2013 industry collaborations; bridging the \u201cperformance gap\u201d between academia and industry; open innovation, etc.<\/li>\n<li><strong>New developments in licensing<\/strong>: New licensing models, unique deals, success stories, etc.<\/li>\n<li><strong>IP growth and management \u2013 what\u2019s new?<\/strong>: New IP management models, new (software) tools, automated\/AI based patent writing and prosecution, etc.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Recent rulings in Europe pertaining to IP and IP related matters<\/strong>. Preference will be given to proposals that demonstrate:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Complete panels with all contents and speakers\u2019 information;<\/li>\n<li>Speakers from diverse professional backgrounds (i.e. lawyers, patent attorneys, in-house professionals, IP holders), and\/or such speakers from various jurisdictions)<\/li>\n<li>Interactivity with attendees as it relates to content delivery;<\/li>\n<li>A topic that is applicable across several industries, sectors, and interest groups;<\/li>\n<li>Educational intent (promotional presentations will not be accepted).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>Note:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Obviously, not all submissions can be selected for this conference.<br \/>LES Israel reserves the right to join additional speakers to any suggested panel and to request panel and\/or topic modifications.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-0b81dab elementor-widget elementor-widget-spacer\" data-id=\"0b81dab\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"spacer.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-spacer\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-spacer-inner\"><\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-658adce elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"658adce\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">REQUIREMENTS<\/h2>\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-e3e3d3f elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"e3e3d3f\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Each session at the 2023 Pan-European Conference must comply with the following requirements:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>All moderators and speakers must register for the meeting and pay the registration fee.<\/li>\n<li>LES Israel \/ KENES must be immediately notified in writing<\/li>\n<li>at <a href=\"mailto:les-israel2023@kenes-events.com\"><strong>les-israel2023@kenes-events.com<\/strong><\/a> with a copy to <a href=\"mailto:les_israel@yahoo.com\"><strong>les_israel@yahoo.com<\/strong><\/a> of any speaker changes, and any such change is subject to approval by LES Israel.
